Erin Davidoff is passionate about using her evidence based knowledge and experience to help patients manage and treat Communication and swallowing issues including dysphagia, speech, language, voice and laryngeal irritation. Erin has extensive experience with adult patients of all ages and works collaboratively with you, your family and your health team to maximise your Swallowing and Communication outcomes.
What's Included in Our Session?
Swallowing Sessions
Erin will discuss with you your experience of swallowing difficulties and ask you your priorities in terms of your swallowing. Erin will assess the muscles and nerves required for swallowing and observe you eating and drinking certain food and fluids. Erin will provide education on how your swallow works and how your issues may be presenting in light of your medical history and assessment. Erin will then provide strategies, recommendations and therapy as appropriate. Erin may also recommend an objective swallow assessment if required. Erin will work closely with your medical practitioners and any other health professionals in your team to provide the most comprehensive care for your swallowing difficulties.
Voice Sessions
Erin will discuss with you your experience of your voice difficulties and your goals and provide education regarding your particular dysphonia. A recorded acoustic assessment followed by trial of differing evidence based therapy will be provided with further vocal care education, strategies and therapy program provided. Erin will work closely with your Ear Nose and Throat Specialist to provide the most comprehensive care for your dysphonia. Please note: for all dysphonia treatment a recent (within 12 months) nasendoscopy report from an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist is required in order to effectively and safely treat your voice disorder.
Vocal Cord Dysfunction/ Chronic Cough/Globus
Erin will discuss with you your experience of VCD/cough or globus and conduct the appropriate assessment with you. Comprehensive interview, case history and symptom presentation with a discussion of your goals will also be completed - and education and management strategies provided. Erin will work closely with your Ear, Nose and Throat and/or Respiratory Specialist to provide the most comprehensive care for your laryngeal irritation.

Erin will discuss your communication difficulties and priorities with you, conduct relevant assessments considering your medical history and prior Speech Pathology interventions. She'll champion evidence-based practice to achieve optimal outcomes tailored to your goals. Education and strategies specific to your needs will be provided, including trials of alternative communication methods if suitable. Erin collaborates with you and your family as well as your health professional team.

Where will my personal details and Speech Pathology notes and reports be kept?Revitalise Speech Pathology uses a confidential patient software database and any correspondence is kept in a locked filing cabinet (if paper). Any emailed reports will be password protected.
